Punchpass allows you to accept reservations from your customers. They can reserve online while they're at home or on the go.
What's a Reservation?
Reservations are advance bookings, so you know who's coming and your customers can add it to their calendar.
Making a Reservation
How customers make reservations in Punchpass is up to you!
Options for How Customers Make Reservations:
No Login Required
Customers can book by simply entering their email and name—no login needed.
This makes booking quick and easy, encouraging new signups.

You can choose to require customers to log in before booking.
Logging in helps customers track their passes and manage their reservations more easily.

You can book reservations on behalf of customers for a concierge-like experience. Here's how to make a reservation for a customer.
This is useful for customers who prefer assistance or for managing recurring bookings, as well as how to handle drop-ins!

Punchpass allows you to make individual and multiple reservations at once or schedule customers for their favorite classes in advance.
After Making a Reservation
After booking, customers can quickly add the new reservation to their personal calendar. They can send a Facebook message to invite their friends along too.
They’ll receive confirmation emails for making a reservation and also email reminders if you've turned this setting on in your account. Learn more about email notifications in Punchpass here
Changing a reservation
Your customers can cancel or move the reservation on their own using the unique weblink that's provided on the email confirmation Punchpass sends.
You can limit the number of reservations you accept based on your space or equipment limitations.
You can restrict the timing of signups and cancellations to your preferred windows.
Taking Attendance
When you take attendance at the start of class, you can mark everyone as attending all at once or individually. If you'd like Punchpass to automatically mark attendance for you, that's an option too!
Creating a workshop or multi-day series? Bookings are no problem. You can price these separately and on select plans, collect payment at the time of booking with our ticket feature!
How a Reservation Becomes an Attendance
We'll now get into the details about how a customer's pass gets charged for an attendance.
Punchpass matches the reservation to the customer. When a customer makes a reservation after logging in, Punchpass knows who they are automatically. Learn more about Customer Logins here.
Even if your class allows open booking, that anyone can register and regardless of whether they have an active pass– Punchpass will automatically match incoming reservations using the customer's email.
We use the customer's email address to tie an incoming reservation from the public to one of your existing customers.
Once a reservation is made, customers appear as Waiting To Attend.
If a customer cancels their reservation at this point, no problem - the reservation is simply removed. Here's more about customers canceling on their own.
If you want to cancel a reservation for a customer, simply click the three dots next to the person's name, and select the trash can icon. This experience might differ slightly depending on how the class is set up! For more information on deleting a reservation, see this guide.
An instructor then marks the class attendance. When attendance is taken, the customer's pass is debited.
How do you take attendance? From the class details page, press the Mark Attendance button to take attendance. You can also mark a customer as a No-Show and debit their pass.
