Punchpass allows you to sell your passes, memberships, and tickets online so you can spend less time dealing with payments at the studio. We also support accepting payments by other methods.

Selling with Stripe: Fees and Pricing

Connecting Stripe to Punchpass allows Punchpass to charge customers on your behalf.

Punchpass doesn't charge you anything extra for your credit card transactions. Stripe is just a nice processor for us to work with!

Current processing rates can be found at https://stripe.com/pricing. Make sure you choose your country in the page footer. The detailed list of rates tends to be towards the bottom of the page.

If you elect to sell memberships, Stripe will also charge you a small invoicing fee each time a membership renews, more on that here: https://stripe.com/invoicing/pricing.

Ideas for Minimizing Online Payment Processing Fees

Including fees with your pass sales

When setting up your passes and offers for sale within Punchpass, you define the price for the pass.

If you'd like your pass price to be inclusive of your processing fees, you'll:

  • Set the price to be inclusive of the processing fees.

  • And explicitly say in the pass description that the pricing "includes all transaction fees and charges."

For those customers who prefer to pay in person, by cash, or another method, you might consider manually assigning their pass and setting up a discount code to use for these transactions.

Adjust the offer settings to minimize transactions

Processing fees apply to each transaction and for memberships, there is an additional Stripe fee charged for each membership renewal.

To save on invoice fees consider:

  • Adjusting the pass lengths for memberships to be longer intervals. For example, instead of having a membership renew each week, make the pass length one month.

  • Promoting multiple class passes instead of having everyone buy drop-ins or tickets. If your customers purchase one pass instead of five individual passes, you save!

Are Online Payments Worth It?

At the end of the day, consider your admin time. How much time does it take to manually assign passes and reconcile transactions?

With online payment integrations through Punchpass, you get the convenience of receiving verified payments and automatically assigning passes, so your time can be spent doing what you do best, creating and offering amazing programs.

Without online transactions, you wouldn't be able to:
