Want to make your classes available to people at different price points? A sliding-scale pass lets customers choose what they pay within a range you define, keeping things sustainable for you and accessible for them.
โNote: Sliding-scale passes are not compatible with discount codes or available for membership offers.
Setting Up a Sliding-Scale Pass
Head to Manage > Passes and create a new pass (or open an existing one). Configure the following:
Set the pass to sell online, so it appears on your Purchase a Pass page.
Toggle on "Is this a sliding-scale pass?"
Enter a minimum and maximum price (whole numbers only). The minimum can be $0.
How Customers Purchase a Sliding-Scale Pass
On your public passes page, the pass will display the price range (e.g., "$10 โ $50").
When a customer clicks to purchase, they'll see a dropdown prompting them to choose a price. The dropdown defaults to "Please choose a price to pay," and customers must actively select an amount before they can complete the purchase.
From your purchase a pass page, your pass will be listed along with the payment range:
โ
Customers will use the dropdown to select the amount they wish to pay. If you add tax to pass purchases in your account, the tax will be included in the pass price:
Note: If your account is configured to charge sales tax, tax will be calculated on top of the selected price and shown at checkout.
Assigning a Sliding Scale Pass from the Admin Side
Open the customer's account and click Assign a Pass. Select the pass and choose the price the customer is paying from the dropdown, then click Next.
