Change the details of your membership offers and manage the memberships you've already sold.

This guide explains how to edit existing membership offers and to help manage the memberships you've already sold with bulk actions: extending membership expiration dates, pausing all active memberships, and restarting paused memberships.

If you're new to creating memberships, please check out our guide on getting started with memberships in Punchpass.

Edit membership offers

Note: When editing a membership the change will apply to all future membership purchases and adjust the existing members' memberships upon their next renewal date.

There are some changes you can make to the membership offers you've already created, and sold, such as updating the price or pass length.

If you do not want to impact existing members, you will want to archive the existing membership and create a new one!

Extend the expiration dates for all active memberships

If you're closing for a holiday or taking another type of break, you may want to extend all of your active memberships!

This action will add time to active membership passes and adjust the end date of the membership if the customer is on their last pass.

When memberships are extended

  • Customers will not be notified of the updated expiration date for their membership, but a note will appear on the membership details page in their account.

  • After extending all of your memberships, if you need to change the renewal dates, this needs to be done individually from the customer's account.

Pause all active memberships

If you need to put a hold on all your active memberships, you can place your memberships on pause. Head to the Memberships Report, then click Bulk Actions. Select the date and click Pause to schedule your pause:

Pausing a membership prevents customers from accessing that membership for booking.

When memberships are paused

  • Punchpass will send an email to your customers letting them know.

  • Punchpass also saves how many active days are left on the current pass, so when the membership is re-activated, the customer just starts off right where they were when it was paused.

Restarting paused memberships

You can either restart all paused memberships today, or schedule individual paused memberships to restart on a specific date!

Restart All Paused Memberships

  1. Head to Reports > Memberships and click on Bulk Actions

  2. At the bottom of the page, click Re-activate All Paused Memberships, this will reactivate all of the paused memberships today once you click to confirm!

Remember: Punchpass will re-calculate the membership renewal date based on the number of days left in the membership period, so when the membership is reactivated it just starts back up right where you paused it!

To restart an individual membership

  1. Click over to the customer's paused membership (from the customer account > select the membership or from Reports > Memberships > Paused), and click Restart Membership Options:

  2. Set the restart date for the future, or immediately restart the membership:

Remember: Punchpass will re-calculate the membership renewal date based on the number of days left in the membership period, so when the membership is reactivated it just starts back up right where you paused it!
