We know that you value creating a respectful customer dialogue. And correctly using pronouns -- she/her, he/him, they/them -- is one of the most basic ways you and your staff can show respect for your customers' identities.

Punchpass supports your efforts to create mutual respect with your customers by including the ability for you to store pronouns in each of your customer profiles.

How are pronouns used in Punchpass?

If pronouns have been entered into a customer profile, they will display on the class details page for attendance.

How do customers enter their pronouns?

If your studio uses Customer Logins, then customers can enter their pronouns from their customer profiles. This information can be edited at any time.

You can also use the Custom Form feature available on certain Punchpass plans to have customers fill out their pronouns (and more data if you wish!) when they sign up!

Can my customers change their own pronouns?

Customers can log in to their Punchpass account to change (or remove) their pronouns at any time. This information lives in the My Profile section of their customer account.

Can I enter pronouns for my students?

Yes! Punchpass administrators and users with access to customer accounts can also enter this information into customer profiles as well.

How to enter pronouns for your students

From a customer account, select the Info tab and press the Edit Info button.

Enter their pronouns and press Save.

How do I ask my customers for their pronouns?

As part of your studio welcome, try asking: "Tell us your name, where you come from, and the pronouns you use..."

In class, you might ask: "What are your pronouns?"

If you forget, ask: "Can you remind me which pronouns you use?"

It can feel awkward at first, but it is not half as awkward as getting it wrong or making a hurtful assumption.
