Have you been wondering which reports will show you revenue by class? Are you also looking to pair that information with revenue per attendance?

We provide three valuable Class Reports designed to help you review attendance trends, reveal which classes are the most profitable, and which may need improvement or additional marketing.

You can use these reports to analyze participation for specific date ranges.

This will help you track your most popular classes and identify any that may be underperforming.

Additionally, you can ensure that high-demand classes are adequately staffed and equipped for every season. Let's dive in!

Who can use this feature?

Accessing the Reports section of Punchpass requires users to have Admin-level access.

What is the Individual Class Details Report?

For a defined date range, this report provides details about the number of participants (including no-shows) for each class.

You’ll see the class name, the time taught, the instructor, the number of attendances, and the revenue information.

Visit Reports > Individual Class Details to access this information.

For the specified date range you see:

  • A list of classes: Every class for the specified date range, listed by name in alphabetical order.

  • Start time: For each class name, we show the day, date, and time the class started. This is organized by date.

  • Instructor: The class instructor.

  • Attendance: The number of people who were marked as attending the class.

You might also notice the warning message for Attributed Revenue depending on the date range you're looking at:

Using the Individual Class Details Report

As this report shows the number of participants per class, you might use this report to inform your payroll.

If you're using the Individual Class Details report to inform your payroll, please keep in mind that the no-show attendance displayed here doesn’t include late cancels in the no-show calculation.

Tracking Late Cancels

To track late cancels, you might consider reviewing your No Show & Late Cancels report, or reviewing the class Schedule to see the total number of attendances and the total number of late cancels and no-shows per class.

What is the Class Details by Day/Time Report?

For a defined date range, this report provides a comparison of class times, the number of attendees, and the revenue for the class.

With this report, you can filter the results by class to compare how a Wednesday night classes might be performing versus a Sunday mornings.

Visit Reports > Class Details by Day/ Time to access to access this information.

What is the Attendance and Revenue per Class Report?

For a defined date range, this report provides a high-level summary by class, listing the number of attendances and revenue.

Visit Reports > Attendance & Revenue per Class to access to access this information.

For the specified date range you see:

  • A list of classes: Every class for the specified date range, listed by name in alphabetical order.

  • Total Taught: The number of times this class was offered for the defined date range.

  • Total Attendances: The total number of people who were marked as attending the class.

  • Revenue: The total attributed revenue for all of the classes.

  • Average Revenue per Class

How to Customize your Attributed Revenue Calculation

There are multiple options to modify the information displayed when calculating your business's attributed revenue.

Including No-Shows in Attributed Revenue Calculations

Navigate to Manage > Settings > Taxes, Invoices, and Revenue. Select the option to include no-shows for attributed revenue reports. Press Save.

Set a Value for Unlimited Memberships

As unlimited passes start and end on different days for different customers, we use an estimate to calculate your attributed revenue. This estimate only impacts data where unlimited passes are still active.

Navigate to Manage > Settings > Taxes, Invoices, and Revenue. Enter your best estimate for the price per class. Press Save.

  • This calculation is zero by default.

  • This setting will reflect the currency your business is using.

  • You can change this number!

  • When you see the ⚠️ emoji, this calculation is using attributed revenue.

Please note the Attributed Revenue value you enter will also impact the calculations displayed in your Instructor Activities Report as well.
