Whether a customer gives you a heads up or wishes to change mid-membership period, Punchpass can help you make the switch!
For Stripe Memberships:
To charge the membership to the same credit card, click on the current membership and select "Create New Membership charged to this saved credit card."
You can set the start date, most users select either to switch immediately or the next renewal date for their existing membership for a smooth transition.
Once you have the new membership set up, if you are switching them from one membership to the other, you will want to Cancel the previous membership.
If you cancel immediately, the existing pass will still be active. This is ideal if you are waiting until their next renewal date to make the switch.
If you are making the change immediately, you can delete the existing pass from the old membership! If there were any attendances assigned to the last pass, you will need to edit and assign them to the new membership before you can delete it.
For Non-Stripe Memberships
1) Go to the current membership and click "Cancel This Membership"
2) Assign a new membership and select the desired start date.
If they wish to switch mid-payment period, you can then:
3) Edit the renewal date of the new membership to match the renewal date of the canceled membership (if the old membership renewed on the 15th, you can set the new renewal date to the 15th):
4) Delete the last pass of the canceled membership.
NOTE: If there were any attendances assigned to the last pass, you will need to edit and assign them to the new membership before you can delete it.
