Setting Up the Bonus Pass Automation for Memberships
This automation adds a bonus pass of your choice to their account whenever a new membership pass is created, whether it’s the first purchase or a renewal.
Note: This automation creates a bonus pass on a customer account when the membership is created and each time the membership renews.
Tips for Creating this Automation:
If you haven't already, you'll want to define the pass to assign in Manage > Passes. Here's our guide to setting up a free pass.
In addition to passes, you can also designate gift cards as the bonus pass to assign! Here's our guide to creating gift cards.
While a membership triggers this automation, the pass selected as the bonus pass cannot be a membership; only passes or gift cards can be designated as the bonus pass.
From Manage > Passes > Automations, click Membership Assign Bonus Pass.
You can review the details of the automation and the steps for the automation process, and click Get Started to create it:
Step 1: Define the Automation Settings
With this automation, you'll:
Create a short name for the automation,
When should the automation begin? Select Enable if you'd like to start using the automation immediately or select Paused to save as a draft.
Step 2: Select the Eligible Memberships and Choose the Pass to Assign
Next, you'll:
Select the Eligible Passes and Memberships
Step 3: Press Save Automation
When you are done with your selection, and click Save Automation to finish!
