Whether you're freshening up your schedule, deleting one class time, or not offering a particular class anymore, Punchpass makes it easy to adjust your offerings and timetable!

Here are your options to remove classes from your schedule:

Delete an Individual Class from the Schedule

If you want to delete or cancel an upcoming class, you can do that right from the schedule or from the class details page!

Deleting a class removes it completely from the schedule. If you have existing reservations for the class time, you'll need to delete those first and Punchpass will prompt you to handle those before it will delete the class.

Canceling a class allows you to leave the reservations intact and notify your customers about the upcoming change. Here's our guide to canceling a class.

Deleting a Class using the Calendar

To remove a class from the schedule, navigate to the Schedule and select the Calendar view. If you select the three-dot icon for the class time, this opens an action window with an option to delete the class. Select the option to 'Delete this class.'

After selecting 'Delete this class,' a pop-up window will open asking you to confirm the action.

Have reservations? If you have existing reservations for the class, you'll be prompted to address those before Punchpass will allow you to delete the class.

Deleting a Class from the Class Details Page

From the class details page, select the Actions menu then select the 'Delete Class' option:

After selecting 'Delete this class,' you'll be asked to confirm that you'd like to delete the class.

Have reservations? If you have existing reservations for the class, you'll be prompted to address those before Punchpass will allow you to delete the class.

Delete a Recurring Class Time

Updating the recurring class schedule allows you to remove classes immediately or make the changes effective from a date in the future.

To make changes to your recurring class schedule, navigate to Manage > Classes and select the class from your Active Classes list to open the class overview page.

From the class overview page, select the "Manage the Schedule" button at the top or select the "Manage the Recurring Schedule" button in the Class Schedule section.

This opens an editable version of your recurring schedule. Press the "Edit" button next to the recurring class time.

And this opens the details page for the specific class time.

To delete the class time, press the "Change the End date or Delete Class Time..." button.

And a pop-up screen will open displaying the options you have for deleting a class time.

In the example above, you'll see on the left-hand side if there are upcoming reservations for that time that need to be addressed.

When deleting a recurring class time, we're able to manage those reservations too by selecting the option to remove reservations.

No longer offering a Class? Delete or Archive it!

When you have a large number of classes, it can be helpful to tidy up the list of active classes from time to time.

Punchpass allows you to delete or archive a class type from the overview page.

To make this change to your list of classes, navigate to Manage > Classes and select the class from the list of Active Classes.

From each class overview page, select the Actions menu. You'll see an option to either delete or archive a class.

Why am I seeing the option to Archive a class?

Archiving a class is available if the class has a history of sessions. The option to delete a class will appear only if the class type has no history, which happens when a class never actually has any sessions set up on the calendar.

In this example, the Morning Meditation class has recurring classes on the schedule, so we're only seeing the option to archive it.

Another way to archive or delete a class is to select the "Edit" button from the Actions menu, you'll see an option to either Archive or Delete a class at the bottom of the page too.

Restore an Archived Class

When archiving a class, this saves the class information for use at another time. If you have seasonal offerings, you might find yourself archiving a class and then putting it back on the schedule.

Head over to your class list in Manage > Classes, scroll down to the Active Classes section, and press the "Archived Classes" button.

Then click on the name of the class you want to reactivate and then from the Actions dropdown select the option to "Enable" the class and put it back on your active class list:

The class will now appear in your list of Active Classes!
