When adding a Stripe connection to your Punchpass account, we automatically offer you the option to accept credit cards as a payment method at checkout.
Would you like to add more options for your customers? In this guide, we'll walk you through how to add more options.
How to Add More Payment Methods to Your Stripe Checkout
To adjust your payment methods, click on the gear icon in your Stripe account, and in the Payments section, select Payment Methods.
On the Payment Methods screen, you'll see a variety of payment methods.
The methods offered will depend on where you are in the world.
Next to each payment method is a status. These status messages are:
On by default;
Inherit default (On);
Inherit default (Off);
and Inherit default (Blocked).
You are able to change any payment method on or off, with the exception of Inherit default (Blocked).
Our Stripe integration is also able to support turning on the pay by installment options for your customers.
A note regarding Apple Pay:
Apple Pay is accepted at checkout everywhere it is eligible to be used. The Apple Pay option requires that the customer have a card added to their Apple wallet to see it as an option at checkout.
Accepting ACH Bank Payments (US only)
ACH (Automated Clearing House) as a payment option in Stripe allows your customers to pay directly from their bank accounts.
This payment method is automatically active and available when you set up your Stripe account, making it easy for you to accept ACH payments without any additional steps.
If you prefer not to accept this payment method, you can easily turn it off in your Stripe account settings.
How to Add or Remove ACH Direct Debit as Payment Method on Your Stripe Checkout
Log into your Stripe account.
Navigate to the Payment methods section of your account.
Enable or Disable ACH Direct Debit. If you don’t see ACH as an option, then ACH isn't available for your account. If you believe it should be available, please contact Stripe support.
Accepting Bank Transfers
We are looking to support bank debits for additional countries and will update this guide as we expand access.
In the meantime, someone could pay with direct debit through other means with Punchpass.
To make that work the customer would need to set up an arrangement with you outside of Punchpass and you'd then need to manually receipt each pass or membership and track payments.
If you decide to go this way, please visit our guide on how to track non-Stripe membership payments.
