The Content Library allows you to upload video files and PDFs, upload Zoom recordings, and share content hosted on Vimeo or YouTube accounts directly on Punchpass.

It's a great way to:

  • Offer passes and memberships with access to collections of content;

  • Share class recordings;

  • And setup pre-recorded classes on your schedule.

Please note: This feature is currently only available on our Banyan, Redwood, and legacy Balsam plans.

Here's how to get started using the Content Library feature on Punchpass

Getting Started: Turn on the Content Library

Go to Manage > Settings, and select the Content Library:

To turn the Content Library on for your account, toggle the "enable content library" switch. Green means the Content Library is active!

Once you do that, you'll have a new option for the Content Library in the Manage menu of the navigation:

Ways you can use the Content Library

The content library is designed to be a flexible way to share your content. These are some common scenarios and our recommendations on how to set them up.

  • Offer passes and memberships with access to collections of content;

  • Share class recordings;

  • And setup pre-recorded classes on your schedule.

Offer access to a content collection with an active membership or pass

Perhaps you're planning on taking a break or are thinking up additional revenue streams for your studio.

One option you have for using the Content Library is to create a pass that grants access to a collection: your customers will purchase the pass and then have access to the collection in their content library.

Here's how to set this up:

  • Turn on access to the Content Library in your account, if you haven't already.

Using the Content Library to share class recordings

With the Content Library turned on, you have the option to attach content directly to a class!

Businesses using Punchpass have used this in a number of creative ways including:

  • Selling individual recorded classes;

  • Adding the class recording after the class for anyone who couldn't attend live;

  • Offering pre-class videos/documents.

Create a pre-recorded class on the schedule

When setting up a pre-recorded class, the content will be available when it's time for class to begin.

  • You'll create the class on the schedule;

  • The customer will register for the class and see the class on their list of reservations, receive the regularly scheduled reminders, etc.

Please note: When content is uploaded to a class on the schedule, a class credit will be deducted from the active pass as the customer is attending a class.

What happens if someone tries to access the pre-recorded class early?

If someone logs in and opens the class in advance they'll see a message letting them know that the content will appear when it's time for class to start.

The content will appear in both their content library and be accessible to them from the schedule when class is set to begin.

How Customers access the Content Library

Content is accessed by a customer in the Content Library section of their accounts by selecting the Content Library link in their navigation. A more detailed guide exists over here.

This library is designed to be a simple, easy-to-use supplement to your existing classes. We do not provide analytics, the ability to limit the # of views, or information about WHO viewed each video. Some of that may be available if you are hosting through a provider like YouTube.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Content Library

Why don't I see a thumbnail image for my video in the Content Library?

If your video is hosted with Vimeo and is password-protected, you'll need to remove the password protection for Punchpass to generate a thumbnail image.
