Our default settings in Punchpass are to require a customer to login to be able to book. This is tied to our settings to require an active pass in order to book a class. You can review those settings in our overview here! However, there may be classes where you wish to not enable this setting and instead of requiring a login, you just want them to fill out their name and email, and optionally their phone number! This is a really great option if you offer a free community event or a ticketed workshop where you don't want to force everyone to make an account.

Here's what it looks like when a customer goes to book when the class requires a login!

Booking window in Punchpass states that you must sign in to book, with two button options to either sign in, or create an account.

However, for a free class offering, you might want to simply offer an open form to book!

The booking window shows a free class that requires the user to fill out a form, name email and phone number in order to book the class/

This could be ideal for your ticketed events, as customers can book and pay without needing a login:

The booking window shows a workshop class requires a $50 ticket, but the customer can fill out their name, email, phone number, and click to continue to checkout without signing in or having an account.

Turning off the Login Requirement for an Individual Class

To turn off the login requirement and turn on the open form option for a class instance, first under Manage > Classes, you'll want to click on the class type and disable "Require an Active Pass to Book":

When you create a one-time class:

Or edit the classtime from the schedule:

You'll want to scroll down to the Custom Limitations and check the box to set a custom setting to NOT require a login to book:

Click to Update Class and your open form booking option will be available for that specific class!
