You can prevent reservations for classes before classes start. This is helpful if you have a lot of class setup, long commutes, or don't want any 'last minute' reservations coming through.
Create your Reservation Policies
Punchpass allows you to create global reservation policies for all classes and customize your reservation settings for specific classes too.
Note: When defining your booking window, you'll also want to review how many days are visible on your public schedule. Navigate to Manage Settings > Public Schedule to align those dates.
Define the reservation settings for your business
From Manage Settings, select the Online Reservations section. Here, you can define the settings that allow customers book and make reservations for all of your classes.
You'll select your booking preferences and press Save.
The settings include:
How soon before class customers can no longer MAKE a reservation. You have the option to allow booking until class begins, or select a cutoff time to prevent bookings.
How many days into the future do you want to allow customers to make reservations. You can decide how many days in advance someone can make a reservation.
Define the reservation settings per class
You can also customize the reservation settings for "how many days into the future do you want to allow customers to make reservations" for classes as well.
If you want to edit this per class, navigate to Manage Classes > select the class, and add or edit your class settings to reflect your reservation preferences.
The customer experience of reservation policies
If you select one hour as the timeframe for when customers can no longer make a reservation, if a customer clicks on a class on the schedule and it's less than one hour before the class starts, they will see a message telling them reservations need to be made at least one hour before class starts and will be unable to book.
