Assigning a Gift Card to a customer

Do you have a customer who purchased a gift card and needs help redeeming the purchase?

Here's our guide to assigning a gift card to a customer.

Finding the Gift Card Code

First, you will need to grab the gift card code. A report with all gift card codes can be found under Manage Settings > Discount & Gift Codes > Gift Cards:

Or you can find the specific code within the purchaser's customer account:


Assign the Gift Card to the Customer

Navigate to the gift recipient's customer account and select the button to "Assign a Pass":

Select the corresponding pass and press the "Next" button:

You're now on the Assign a Pass page. Press the "Select a Discount" button.


This opens a pop-up window. Select the discount code that corresponds to the gift card for this customer and press the "Apply discount" button.

You'll now see the gift card code applied to the pass. Gift card codes are the equivalent of a 100% discount for a pass.

Next, we'll make sure the following settings are in place:

  • The selected payment method: "Cash, check, etc.",

  • The checkbox indicating you've received payment should be selected,

  • In the dropdown menu for "How have you collected payment?" - select the option for "Gift Voucher."

Press the "Assign Pass" or "Save" button to assign the pass.

The pass now appears in the customer account! And you'll see the gift card code that was used to redeem it.
