How Reservations Work in Punchpass

Punchpass allows you to accept reservations from your customers. They can also make reservations themselves online while they're at home or on the go and you can also make reservations for them.

Who can use this feature?
All accounts can create reservations and use the bulk reservation tool, but Standing Reservations are a feature of Banyan and Redwood Punchpass plans.


How to Make a Reservation in One Class for Your Customer

You have multiple options to create reservations for your customers!

Add a Customer to a Class

You can create customer reservations by navigating to a class details page and pressing the Add a New Reservation button.

Have a drop-in?

The best way to handle drop-ins is to create a reservation for the person in the class and assign them a pass if necessary.

Make a Reservation from the Customer Account

Navigate to the customer account and scroll down to the Reservations in Upcoming Classes section, click the + Reservation button.


How to Make Multiple Class Reservations for a Customer

There are multiple ways to make bulk reservations and book favorite class times for customers too.

Make Multiple Reservations from the Customer Account

Navigate to the customer account and scroll down to the Reservations in Upcoming Classes section, click the + Reservation button.

You'll now be on the Create Reservations page for the customer.


You'll see your upcoming classes listed there, and you can check off the boxes for whichever classes they'd like to reserve... whether that's one class or many!

  • Use the search feature to filter the classes; for example, typing 'surfing fundamentals fri' will filter the list display only those classes.

  • Select the option to send a confirmation mail.

  • And press the Register Customer for Selected Classes button to save.

  • If the class is full, they will be added to the waitlist.

We'll also highlight if they already booked into a class and if the class is full so you can add them to the waitlist.

Create Standing Reservations to Pre-Book a Favorite Class Time

Please note: Standing reservations are only available with our Banyan and Redwood plans. For more information: check out our standing reservations feature.


There are two ways to create a standing reservation for a customer:

  • From the customer account, press the +Standing Reservation button,

  • Navigate directly to the Reports section, press the +New Standing Reservation button.


Turning Off Public Reservations

Want to show your schedule online but restrict the public from making reservations online?

If you prefer a personal touch or to screen reservations for classes, you can adjust each of your class reservation settings so that customers can see the class on the schedule, but can't register themselves.

Customers willl need to work with you to reserve a spot and you can manage the reservations while you're logged in to Punchpass.  

To adjust your class settings:

Navigate to Manage > Classes, select the class, and from the Actions menu, press Edit.

This opens a class details page and over in the Reservation Settings, turn off the option to accept reservations for this class. Press Save.
