Background

You'll want to make sure to create a unique Punchpass link to your schedule for easy sign-in and sharing. Your personalized Punchpass link can be created and found under Manage Settings > Public Web Pages. More information on personalizing your Punchpass account here.

How customers create an account and set up their login information

Customers will sign in and create accounts right from your Punchpass schedule!

From the top of your public schedule, they can click on the Create Account button.

You can also show new customers a QR code with a link to sign up! From the admin-side of Punchpass, click on Home and you'll see the Studio QR Code button.

Clicking the button shows the QR code, and you can also download the image to share it with someone.

They'll fill out their details, receive an email to confirm, and will be prompted to set up a password.

Once a customer has established a login account for your business, they can will press the Sign In button to access to their own account at anytime. Then they can book quickly, see their current pass status, and all past and future bookings.

You're welcome to share this video on how to create an account with your customers!

What if my customer has a login with another studio? How do they create an account?

Punchpass allows customers to use the same login with different studios.

Customers who have an account with another studio, will also press the Create Account button to sign up with your studio!

They'll sign into Punchpass with using their email and password.

Once they're signed in, to link their account, they'll press the Join Studio button at the top of the schedule.

They'll see a message that we have linked their accounts, and receive an email to complete the signup process.

After clicking the button in the email, on the Admin side, you'll see a customer account for them and they'll appear in your New Customer report too.

How to switch between accounts

After creating an account and completing the sign-up process with your studio, you can change between studios (and accounts) by clicking on the Change Studio link in their account navigation.

How do you know if someone has set up a login?

Inside Punchpass, we show a green flag that reads, "Customer has a login" in a couple of places, including in the New Customers Report (Customer > New Customers), the Customer Logins Report (Customers > Customer Logins), and also in the customer account under the Info tab.

No login? No problem! Invite the customer to create one

If a customer's profile doesn't show a green notice under their name, they have not set up their login account yet. You can invite them right from here so they receive an email invitation (or they can initiate the login from your public schedule).

Troubleshooting Tips

If one of your customers is having problems logging in, there are a few potential reasons.

  1. They haven't created an account yet. A green notice under their profile name in Punchpass indicates that they have a login. If it's not there, they should create an account. You can direct them to your public schedule or send them an invitation from their profile.

  2. They are not logging into the right spot. It is important to understand that there is a difference between the administrative users of Punchpass (you & your staff) and your customers. Your customers DO NOT log in where you log in - the system will not recognize them. You want to be sure to direct them to the actual spot on your website where they are supposed to log in to Punchpass.

  3. They are attempting to log in with the wrong email address. Maybe they're using their work email to try to log in, but their account was set up using their personal email. You can double-check their login email shown on the green notice under their profile name.

  4. They have forgotten their password.  You should direct them to your public schedule and ask them to reset their password here...

Also note that once a customer requests a password reset, they must click on the link within the email within 24 hours. This is a security measure. So if they wait too long to click the link in the reset password email, they may be told that their "reset password token is invalid". If that's the case, they can request another password reset.

Send your customers this video for a quick demo on how to reset their password:
