It is possible to start a membership on the 1st of the month (or whatever date you like).

However, keep in mind that membership date change is only possible when you assign the membership while you're logged in to Punchpass as an admin. If a customer buys a membership online, you cannot change the dates.

Here's how to start a new membership on the 1st of the month.

  1. Go into the customer's profile and click the button to "Assign a membership".
  2. Choose the membership from the drop down and set the start date to the 1st of the next month. You cannot start a membership in the past.
  3. Click the button to "Create Membership"

Now you can convert the membership to a recurring credit card payment. This will enable recurring payments on their credit card starting with the 1st of the month. No charge will occur at this time -- charges will start on the 1st.

Just click on the customer's membership (shown in their profile) to add their credit card.

Now the customer's membership will start at the beginning of next month & will renew from that point forward according to the way you defined the membership.

NOTE: If the customer plans to attend class before their membership start date, you may also want to assign them a pass that will cover them from now until their membership becomes active on the 1st.
