Sometimes a customer would like to change their reservation to another session. Punchpass allows you to move reservations to another scheduled time!

With the quick move feature, you can move any class reservation to another class up to 4 weeks into the future.

When moving class reservations more than a month ahead, you'll want to create a new reservation for the customer. And we'll walk you through that too.

Here's what we cover in this guide:

Using the Move Tool to change a class reservation

Using the Move tool

When a customer would like to change their reservation to another class within the next 4 weeks, you can easily update the reservation using the Move tool.

Navigate to the Class Details page, click the three-dot icon next to their name, you'll see the Move option!

This opens the Edit Reservation page, where you can pick a class in the future to move the reservation, without issuing a refund.

And send the customer a confirmation email with the details of their new class reservation.

Moving a reservation for classes more than 4 weeks into the future

To move class reservations for your customers to a class in the more distant future, follow these steps!

Here's the overview of moving a reservation more than 4 weeks into the future:

  1. Navigate to the original class reservation (managing the ticket, if necessary) and delete the reservation

  2. Navigate to the new class and create a new reservation

  3. Assign a new ticket or pass, if necessary

Step 1. Navigate to the original class reservation

For ticketed reservations, manage the ticket:

From the class page, press the three-dot icon to the left of the customer name, and press the Manage Ticket button.

If the ticket was purchased via Stripe, you have the option to refund the purchase or delete the ticket without issuing a refund.

If the ticket was purchased by another means, you can delete the ticket.

For detailed steps on how to refund and/ or delete a class ticket, please see this guide.

Once the ticket has been handled, you can delete the class reservation for the customer.

And then delete the reservation

Press the three-dot icon next to their name and select the Trash icon to delete the reservation.

Step 2. Navigate to the new class and create a new reservation

You'll navigate to the class and press the Add Reservation button to create a new class reservation.

Step 3. Assign a new ticket, if necessary

Depending on the future class settings, you might need to assign a new ticket to the customer for the reservation.

Assigning a Ticket

Click on the three-dot icon next to the customer name and press the Assign Ticket button.

You'll then be taken to the Pass Details (Ticket) page where you can collect payment or mark the ticket as paid.

If the class was set up to be eligible for passes only, then you'll want to consider editing an existing pass or assigning a new pass to the customer.

Moving Series Reservations

If you're using our Series feature for classes, at this time, customers are unable to move these reservations on their own. Here's how to assist your customers in managing their reservations.

Transfer the Series Reservation to another Series

If your customer would like to switch to a different series, head to the customer's account Info tab and scroll down to their reservation. From the Actions dropdown, select the option Transfer Series Reservations to Another Series:

You will be given the option to select another Series based on the same Class Type. Select the Series you wish to move them to, then click Move Reservations:
